International Leadership CHS resumed instruction on September 14, 2021 in a highly successful Hybrid Model in order to provide continuity in learning and the social emotional needs of teenagers during this pandemic. In the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic, high accolades were delivered to International Leadership for its outstanding academic achievement and student outcomes. A welcome ray of sunshine during this public health crisis. On April 21, 2020, U.S. News and World Report issued it national rankings on Best High Schools. The International Leadership Charter High School ranked in the top third of the 548 New York City high schools ranked by U.S. News and World report and ranked in the top 2.5% of 17,792 schools on U.S. News's national Math & Reading Performance ranking. The school’s performance in Math and Reading Performance, demonstrates that International Leadership is one of the most effective schools in the country at preparing students of "Economic Disadvantage" for end of grade state assessments. (see link for details) In addition, International Leadership’s four- year graduation rate of 95% (in 2017-2018) ranked in the top 25% of public high schools in New York State and we have a college admissions rate of 100%.

Each year, The Bronx Award Program identifies Non-Profit Organization and Charter School that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local Non-Profit Organization and Charter School that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional Non-Profit Organization and Charter School help make The Bronx area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2020 The Bronx Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by The Bronx Award Program and data provided by third parties.

In addition, International Leadership Ranked among America’s Top High Schools 2018: Beating the Odds for Low Income Students. In 2014, Newsweek ranked International Leadership as #137 in the nation for Beating the Odds for Students Living in Poverty in its 2014 "Top High Schools" Special Edition

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 13, 2018 INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS COMMEMORATE PARKLAND Scholars from International Leadership Charter High School commemorated the Parkland Tragedy. The International Leadership Charter High School is the first Charter High School in the Bronx NY. Seniors wrote and sent letters to the school expressing their opinions and sympathy. The school held a building wide moment of silence and released purple balloons to celebrate the lives lost on that horrific day just one month ago. “This is a day of civic pride in lives of our scholars”, said Dr. Elaine Ruiz-López, the school’s CEO and Founder. International Leadership Charter High School is a high performing college-preparatory high school dedicated to empowering tomorrow’s leaders. In 2016 the school had a 96% graduation rate (compared to the NYC average of 61.3%), and a college admissions rate of 100%. The charter school and its students been widely recognized for their achievements: 2013 -2017 the school was ranked #6 out of 500 NYC High Schools and was the recipient of a Bronze Award from the U.S. News & World Report for Best High Schools 2013 nationally. In 2014 Newsweek ranked the International Leadership Charter High School as #137 in the nation for beating the odds for students in poverty in its 2014 "Top High Schools" Special Edition.
