We hope you and your family had a great and restful summer. Another year has ended and a new academic year begins full of hope and excitement to see our scholars continue developing their full potential and reach academic excellence.
Below you will find our first day of school schedule according to grade and the expected time of arrival for your child. We will be following an early dismissal on Wednesdays in which students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm. Regular school hours are from 7:30am to 4:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Since the Spring of 2023 CDC, the NYS Governor and the health officials downgraded the pandemic emergency covid regulations and have transitioned to monitoring the resurfacing of new of variants that are emerging and patterns of clusters of illness and hospitalizations. There was no public service announcement that proclaimed that the COVID pandemic is over. We are now in what is considered an endemic stage. What this means is that the unhindered spread of this infectious disease, is no longer growing exponentially at this time, and health care systems are not overwhelmed. However, as a charter school, the health, safety and well-being of our school community is paramount. In the Borough of the Bronx, we have started to see documented cases of increase of hospitalizations and compromised individuals are still dying from these infections.< br>
The Board of Trustees lifted the mask mandate at our charter school for students. However, it is still strongly encouraged that students and teachers select to wear masks voluntarily if there are health concerns.
All students are required to be in full uniform on the very first day of school. Please note that the summer package must be completed during the summer and returned on the first day of class. Summer assignments are available on our web site www.ilchs.org.

Nosotros esperamos que usted y su familia estén disfrutado de unas descansadas y productivas vacaciones.
Adjunto usted podrá encontrar la información acerca de nuestro primer día escolar y la hora en la que nosotros esperamos que sus hijos/as estén aquí en la escuela de acuerdo al grado del estudiante. En este día estaremos siguiendo el horario de los miércoles, los estudiantes serán despachados a las 1:30pm.
Por favor note que durante el año escolar los lunes, martes, jueves y viernes, la hora de llegada es 7:30am y salida 4:30pm.

La Junta Directiva levantó el mandato de máscara en nuestra escuela autónoma para estudiantes. Sin embargo, todavía se recomienda encarecidamente que los estudiantes y maestros opten por usar máscaras voluntariamente si existen problemas de salud.
Es requerido que desde el primer día escolar todos los estudiantes estén completamente uniformados. Por favor note que todos los estudiantes deberán de completar un paquete de tareas durante el verano y traerlo el primer día de clase.
