As we approach the end of 2009, we are very busy at the International Leadership Charter School organizing visits to colleges and universities for our seniors and juniors and other events in preparation for the graduation of the first cohort of seniors from our school. Students have made amazing progress since our first year of operation as they have outperformed students from local high schools in the community.
Our students are active in school-wide civic and leadership events. This
fall they met with city, state, national and community leaders who have
made a difference in the lives of young people. Below you will find
highlights of our Leadership and Government Speaker Series, our school
Gratitude Luncheon, College and University visits, and International
Education Week.
Here are the highlights:

academic outcomes and raising awareness of bullying behavior through
violence prevention activities.
University and College Visits
ILCS seniors and juniors visited many colleges and universities
including Princeton, SUNY New Paltz and Old Westbury, Long Island
University and St. Joseph’s College.
International Education Week
The students and staff celebrated the advent of International Education
Week by decorating the school with flags representing the cultures of
students enrolled at ILCS. This celebration instilled in students pride
and confidence in their heritage.
