News from the CEO & Head of School 2011-2012
Welcome to the International Leadership Charter High School's website! We hope that you are ready for this fall and upcoming winter season. For the 2011-2012 Academic Year we are looking ahead to yet another dynamic and rewarding chapter in our journey as we fulfill the dreams and college aspirations for hundreds of students. In addition, we look forward to furthering our mission of high academic expectations that support a college preparatory curriculum in a positive climate and a productive school environment that values respect, discipline and dedicated to the belief that “no one rises to low expectations”.

Innovations and Highlights
- We would first like to congratulate our faculty, students, the Board of Trustees and school community for contributing to the A rating that was issued on our Progress Report for 2011. We are delighted that we have been recognized as a gap closing high performing charter high school. We are very proud of this accomplishment and we are committed to continuing to provide a quality and world class education to all students.

- Congratulations to the graduating class of 2011! 98% of our graduates were accepted to college. 90% of our students have enrolled in a college or university of their choosing and are close to completing their first semester in college.
- This year we are very pleased to announce that we have agreed to a partnership with Teach For America (TFA) for this academic year. We would like to welcome Ms. Lauren Bell, Ms. Catilin O’Leary and Ms. Kristen Ryan to ILCHS.
- Get Reel with Your Dreams - Students Public Service Announcement, (PSA) “Anti-Bullying: Reflected Conscience” won a scholarship for "Imagination."

- ILCHS school community wish to extend a warm welcome to new members of our Board of Trustees, Ms. Mary Rice Booth and parent representative Mrs. Tonya Alford.
- We are in our second year partnership with Korea Tae Kwon Do. This martial arts program is designed to improve the mental focus and concentration, while promoting physical fitness, discipline and character development in a group setting. The program's mission is to offer an opportunity to students to promote their health, fitness, human education and athletic skills. The lead Regina Jiyeon Im is a certified 3rd degree Black Belt and graduate of Baruch College (Zicklin School of Business) BBA in Finance and Investment.
- Our collaboration with RETC at Fordham University continues and is focused on providing our students with a unique opportunity for tutoring and credit recovery to facilitate on time promotion and graduation within four years for our scholars whom have fallen behind.
- Our students will be participating in the Model UN conferences in February and May 2012.
